What is PackageNeverComes?

PackageNeverComes is a playful fake online store and shopping simulator. You browse real best-selling products, add them to your cart, breeze through a fake checkout, and then watch your package travel across a little map toward your door. The twist: the package never comes. No card is charged, nothing ships, and you walk away having spent zero dollars while a running counter tallies up everything you didn't spend.

Think of it as retail therapy without the spending: the browsing, the cart, the checkout, the order confirmation, the delivery tracking — every satisfying step of online shopping, minus the bill and the buyer's remorse.

Why does the package never come (and why does that feel good)?

The reward chemical your brain chases while shopping, dopamine, is released mostly in anticipation of a purchase, not when the box actually arrives. PackageNeverComes leans into that: it gives you the entire anticipation loop and quietly skips the part where you spend money you meant to keep. The package never comes; the dopamine does.

For a lot of people it doubles as a gentle impulse-spending blocker and a mindful-spending tool. Feel the urge to "treat yourself" at 1am? Shop the urge here instead, watch your "not spent" total climb, and go to bed with your wallet intact.

How it works

Browse current best-sellers across electronics, home, beauty, toys, sports, books, luxury and more. Add to cart or hit Buy Now. Choose a delivery speed (2-minute or 5-minute, naturally). Place your order with the pre-filled, obviously fake card. Then play through the delivery: pack the boxes, turn the key, and drag the truck along the streets toward home. When it "arrives," your savings are tallied and the package, of course, never actually comes. If something genuinely catches your eye, every product links out to the real store so you can buy it for real.

Where the idea came from

PackageNeverComes is inspired by the viral wave of "dopamine sites" out of South Korea — fake food-delivery and fake-shopping apps (like FoodNeverComes) that let people enjoy the ritual of ordering without spending. We built the shopping-mall version: an "everything store" you can browse endlessly for the feeling, not the receipt.
